Deductible:The amount an individual pays for health care expenses before insurance company will pay any benefits. Usually the deductible is an annual amount. In-network: Health care providers (doctors, hospital & other facilities) under contract with the insurance company to provide services at a discounted price.
Co-Insurance:The percentage paid by the insurance and the percentage paid by the insured of all covered medical expenses once the deductible has been meet. Example: If you have a 80/60 coinsurance, the insurance company pays 80% in network and the insured pays 20%.
Co-Payment:Co-payment is a flat, fixed amount that the insured pays for health care at the time the services are rendered.
